ELI

About Me:

I am 17-years-old. I was born in 1993. From 1993 to 2001 I lived in Greenwood. I used to go to public school for preschool, Kindergarten and 1st grade. After 1st grade was over, I did home school for 2nd grade onwards. In 2001, my younger sister, Annie was born. It was also the year we moved to Mansfield. We lived in Mansfield from 2001 to 2008. During the 8 years in Mansfield, I was in Scout Pack 271 and later troop 271. After about 6 or 7 years with 271, my dad and I transferred to troop 50, We also went to LAH (Short for Lebanon Area Home school) that usually happens on a Thursday. In 2008 we moved to Saint Joseph and bought a small house to live in until we could afford a bigger house. We also became a member of Scout Troop 216. Living in Mansfield, we had two separate churches, one for going to church and another for scout meetings. But now that I live in Saint Joseph I go to church at the same church building as the one I have scout meetings. We lived in the small house for 2 years. In 2010 we bought a bigger house (which we live in now) but we still live on the same out Saint Joseph town. We still have our scout meetings and church at the same old church. Moving into this bigger house is the only change in this move. Any friends I made while I lived in the small house I still see a lot living in this new house. I have 2 sisters, one older and one younger. My older sister is about 22 years old now. She lives in Saint Charles with her husband, Adam Linninger. We knew Adam’s family for a long time. As if they were family. Now they are family. My older sister’s name is Victoria. She went to this very collage for 4 years. She graduated last May I think. She has been married to Adam since December. We were living in Mansfield when she went to college. My younger sister’s name is Annie. She is 10-years-old. She did not spend much of her life at our house in Greenwood. However, she did have a good time growing up in Mansfield. From 2001 to 2010, I also liked to collect Bionicle figures. This started when they were at McDonalds and I had collected them for as long as they lasted. It is too bad they decided to stop but my collecting days are not over. I also like getting plush toys of my favorite TV and video game characters.  I make plush movies and upload them on YouTube. My sister, Annie collects things too. She likes Littlest Pet Shop toys and Webkinz.

My KCSTI Experience:

Well. I do not know really, what I am getting from this. However, I am learning about famous airplane pilots and how cars are made. I enjoy the bus rides too and many other things.

Career Choice:

Well, I suppose I could try to make my Sonic DA Fanfics into an actual TV show.

Hello, my name is Eric Rojas.  I am currently 15 years and will start my first year of high school.  Some of my wonderful hobbies are to sing, dance, talk, eat pizza, play sports, and my favorite word is OOh BABY!!

My KCSTI Experience:

My experience at KCSTI was superb. The most things I liked about this program were visiting the KCI Downtown Airport. What amazed me about the airport is the air traffic control tower and how they monitored the airplanes landing and taking off while they were in flight. One of the least things I liked was the ironwoods challenge course field trip. I say this because I am not too interested in climbing very tall structures. Overall, this program has taught me more about fields I never knew about.

KINDRED

About Me:

Hello, everyone my name is Kindred Williams and today I am going to be telling you a little more about me. I am 15 years old and going to the 10th grade and I currently attend Washington High School. I have a couple of hobbies, which are playing board games, hanging out with my friends and family, writing, sports and photography.

My KCSTI Experience:

My experience at the KCSTI program has been great so far. One of the main things I like about this program is that we take numerous field trips each week to various places like colleges, airports, speakers and many other things to come.  I have learned about new fields of Engineering like Technical, Civil, Software, Mechanical and many others. One of the speakers I liked that caught my attention was the man from Garmin. I think he had a cool job designing, creating, and constructing GPS devices.

One of the most interesting things I have done so far is the trip to the Air Traffic Control Center at the Olathe Executive Airport. What I liked about it was how the people were able to manage and monitor all of the Commercial Flights in our region and forecast national weather that happens around the country.

Career Choice:

The field I want to take on later in life is Journalism or Commentary. The reason why I chose these fields is because I like to write and tell people things that may happen in sports, or everyday life. One of my goals I want to achieve for this field is to Work for a major T.V. Station, Magazine or Newspaper Company like ESPN and or Sport Illustrated. Whichever one opens up to me first and captures my interests I will try my hardest and put everything I have into it so I can achieve it.

Contribution to the World:

My Contribution to the world is to help and promote healthy living and lifestyles. Some things I think I could contribute are to come up with ideas and alternatives to change the way we live every day. One of the things I would do is promote healthy living like exercise, eating a healthy diet, and staying away from any forms of tobacco or drugs. Even though I came up with only a few ideas hopefully in the future, I can take on more and expand these ideas.

Contribution to Transportation:

What I would do to contribute to transportation is help under privileged kids get to travel and see the world besides their own neighborhoods.

NIHAL

About Me:

Hi, my name is Nihal Osman and I am 16 years old. I will be a junior next year. I have hobbies that follow along the lines of games of all sorts. I also like watching soccer, and I have been currently supporting the U.S.A. My favorite hobby in school is math. Math is a good subject, and I think it is very important to our lives. I am proud in my love for math.

My KCSTI Experience:

It was great meeting new people at KCSTI.

Career Choice:

My career choice follows along the lines of working in perhaps a medical field. I am not sure, but something like that would be just fine.  I like the things they do in that department and it would be a very nice opportunity to work there someday. Those kinds of things are the kind that will one day aid our country. It is a necessary part of society that should always be considered. Really, it is a general sort of answer to consider but I think it would be a better idea to wait, see which of the kinds of things I really like, and go into doing that.

Contribution to the World:

I think it would be a good idea for the contribution to aid the people who really need it such as the poor and, more importantly, those who need health care.  Health Care in the U.S.A. needs more of an improvement and I think that by learning more about the workings of the medical field will aid us in bringing the financial problem overall to an end. This is what think of when it comes to the contributions our world needs.

Contribution to Transportation:

I think that by trying to improve our knowledge on transportation, we can simultaneously begin understanding why it is necessary and important. With this understanding, we can start aiding to the cause of our society’s transformational needs.
